Why us?

Dogs love to go for walks, run around, play, and socialise with others. We know that Auckland can be a very hectic place to live, and we’re here to help you ensure your pooch gets all the action they need. Our mission is to provide a safe space for your four-legged baby to explore, play, and get some quality exercise with other cool pooches. Zoomies is all about balance packs and big adventures exploring our city’s best parks and beaches.

If you have doggies that love to go out and sniff around, socialise, and play, but are not getting the amount of exercise they deserve, we’re here for you! Head to our Services section for more information about our pack walks.

Benefits of walking

According to PetMD , regularly walking has a range of benefits for your pooch. From improving the digestive system, to helping control the weight, walking is a great way to keep your pet healthy. Keeping them active can also greatly improve their wellbeing and relationship to humans by reducing hyperactivity and other attention- seeking behaviours. Experts also say that socialising pups is essential to ensuring well-balanced lives, promote confidence, and reduce anxiety.

Services

Our service is centred around the wellbeing of our four-legged clients, so we take great care in pairing dogs based on their character and personality. Building a trusting and caring relationship with them means working in small packs (up to 5/6 dogs) to ensure all our pooches receive plenty of love and attention.

Before joining one of our packs, it is important to arrange a FREE Meet & Greet session with you and your fur baby to get to know each other. This is an important step to allow us to assess each dog’s needs and personality and ensure that they thrive in the pack. Once they are officially signed up, our regularly service will include:

  • Pick up from your home within the arranged timeframe (AM or PM)
  • One hour of off-leash play and exploration at an approved park/beach
  • Drop off at your home – total time from pick up to drop off could range from 90 min to 3 hrs
FREQUENCY RATE
One, two or three walks per week $52 per walk
Casual walk* $70 per walk
Additional dogs per household $35 per walk

*For non-regular clients or one-offs

About Me

Fabrolo

Kia ora!

I’m Fabrizio and I am the founder of Zoomies Dog Walking.

I grew up in Uruguay, and from a young age I loved helping my dad – a vet – take care of his four-legged patients. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, whether as family pets, assisting my father in his vet practice, or falling in love with pooches around the world.

I moved to Aotearoa in late 2019 and decided to change my career path. Building on a short experience working with dogs overseas, I followed my inner calling. After two years as a professional dog walker in Auckland, I started Zoomies Dog Walking. Zoomies is driven by a deep love for dogs, underpinned by professionalism and a commitment to their wellbeing and happiness.

FAQs

Is there a special price for more than one dog?

Yes, we offer a discount for more than one fur baby in the same household. The final rate will be full price for the first dog and $35for any additional pooch.

Do I need to be in the house for pick up/drop off?

Not necessarily. We will advise the timeframe for pick-up/drop-off (AM or PM). If there is no one around to meet us, we can provide a lockbox to store an extra key that can stay at your property at all times. Other options can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Do you have different pick up/drop off times?

We work on two walking shifts, AM and PM. Dogs in our morning pack will be picked up between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM. Pick up for afternoon dogs takes place between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. (Some PM pickups may overlap with AM drop- offs)

What happens if there is bad weather?

Our service operates rain or shine, unless it is unsafe for the dogs.

Do you clean the dogs before dropping them off?

Dogs love running around and playing in nature. That can sometimes mean that they get wet and/or muddy. We use towels to dry them off before returning home if needed. Home hoses can be used for a quick wash if they get too muddy.

Do you keep the dogs on leash?

We take our packs to off leash parks/beaches, so they can make the most of every adventure. While running free and off leash is the best way for most doggies to experience this, it will not be suitable for all. We assess each individual need at our FREE Meet & Greet.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations up to 24 hrs before pick-up have no penalty. Last minute cancellations – i.e., less than 24 hrs prior to pick up – incur a 50% fee.

Why do you do a Meet & Greet?

Our FREE Meet & Greet is a key part of the onboarding process for any new pooch. This is chance for us to talk about your dog and assess their needs.
